Day 33: June 25
Pendleton, OR
We drove out of the mountains where we are staying and drove into a spectacular expanse of straw gold and greens in the rolling patchwork of the valley below us. The curves of Hwy 84 begged for a convertible two-seater sports car or a motorcycle. It was an awe-inspiring setting and no pictures can do it justice.

Lunch was at the Oregon Grain Growers Brand Distillery. Local peaches are in season and we got a small peach pizza to share. OMG. |

While much of the clothing was made overseas, I love the patterns (they remind me of the PNW) and woolens of Pendleton brand. Stopping here was like a pilgrimage for me! |
While we’ve really enjoyed a break from the heat in the eastern Oregon mountains, we head to Seattle on the 26th to visit the area and my good friend Sue. Stay tuned!
Love my Pendleton jacket from decades ago! And never would have imagined peach pizza; sounds delicious, though.
