Day 43: 5 July 2021
We drive 101 South and enjoy the ride
We’ve done over 4800 miles towing the Roadhouse so far in the six weeks that we’ve been on the road. Almost 200 today. Total mileage is far greater.
Gorgeous (GORGEOUS) drive south from Cannon Beach to William M. Tugman State Park. We stopped early on at the Tillamook Cheese Factory Tour and loaded up on cheese, a container of Oregon Strawberry Ice Cream, and a nice cheese slicer (with two extra wires!). Even with many Tillamook employees at home enjoying the holiday, there were a few that were seen working the factory floor, amidst a sea of automation.
Enjoy the scenes from the road today; I think the foggy one is my favorite: so moody. But the blues of sky and sea are inspiring as well. When we got to our campsite destination, even Dan said what a beautiful drive it was today.

| We had the easier direction. There were miles and miles of vehicles going north—back to Portland?—from the coast. We were grateful that we were heading south and the flow was much easier going our way. |

Tomorrow we explore the local dunes. Stay tuned!
Gorgeous photos and fun stories (as expected!). If you plan to make it as far south as Medford, OR I recommend signing up ahead of time for the Harry and David tour.....I've done it twice and different each time depending on the season and production level. You've been blessed with mostly great weather!
