Oregon Coast

 Day 45: July 7, 2021

We drive….another beautiful drive, but can’t camp where we have reservations!

We drove south on Hwy 101, again along the beautiful Oregon coast. Every stop was eye candy. Wild and wonderful. I loved it. We’ve now towed the RoadHouse over 5000 miles.

As we got into Northern California, we saw more and more coastal redwoods. Our drive lengthened considerably when we waited in “one lane only” areas, adding nearly an hour of wait time to our drive.

I’ll tell you the story of having to move from our reserved camping area in a grove of huge redwood trees…tomorrow. For now, enjoy the coastal views.

My favorite of today’s photos

The Thomas Creek Bridge, the highest bridge in Oregon at 345 feet.

My father loved sweet peas

Driving through the big trees area—Coastal Redwoods

Almost as soon as we got into California, we saw agapanthus and eucalyptus.
I felt strangely at home seeing that bark.

Tomorrow we explore Redwood National Park….stay tuned!
