Too hot; we just hang out and “do nothing”

 Day 49: July 11, 2021 (Happy Birthday, Debbie H!)

We “do nothing” and lay around in the RoadHouse

Sunday, July 11: After 115F coming off Mount Lassen, we both agreed that it would be ok to have a “day at home”. One of us never even set foot outside of the RoadHouse! Sunday turned out to be a good day to catch up the travel logbook and create some handmade postcards. The high only got up to 111F. A dry heat, but, let’s face it, TOO HOT.

There were no photos. Well, one photo. I will add it later when I have wifi that works. (Written 7/14. You will have to wait for the posts from 7/12, 7/13, 7/14. Some of these have incredible photos but it’s impossible to load them when the wifi is so bad. I may never get caught up! I am writing the “script” part and can cut and paste that, but when it takes five minutes to load a photo, I could have a few pages of my book read in that time!! [Dr Butcher & Mr Humble for those of you who are curious]. We visited Crater Lake and sites on the Rogue River and today drove into the Columbia River Gorge…so, you will want to stay tuned!)

Use what you have: watercolors, dot pens, washi tape, marker. So much fun!

Stay tuned. It may be Couer d’Alene (7/16-19) before we get WiFi that I can use to post to the blog….so frustrating. (We’ve been far more remote than this and had far better luck with our signal!) While no one else may care, I want to have a fresh perspective on each day to act as a record of our trip. (That, and the photos from Crater Lake were yummy!)
